Obituary for CASAUS

Celestina (Tina) Maria Casaus, 81, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010. Tina was born on February 1, 1929 to Frank and Leandra (Ulibari) Baca in Santa Rosa, NM. Tina was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene (Gene) R. Casaus in 2008. They were married on December 13, 1948 in Albuquerque, and lived in San Jose, before returning to Albuquerque in 1952 to start their business, Universal Building Co. Tina was an active as a Toastmistress, UNM Hospital Service League volunteer and officer, and politically active in her community and nationally in the 1970's and 1980's. Tina foremost was a very devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her two daughters, Johanna Casaus, and Annette Casaus Duran of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Brian Milburn and wife, Shannon of New Orleans, LA, Jenna Milburn DiPasquale and husband, Jeff of Mission Viejo, CA, Gabriel Duran, Andrew Duran and their father Jose Duran; great-grandchildren, Violet, Simon, and Bailey Milburn and Luca and Mia DiPasquale; five brothers and five sisters of New Mexico; many nieces and nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. Preceded in death are also sister, Margaret Marquez; and grand-daughter, Celestina Duran. She was very loved and will be deeply missed. Rosary will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 6:00 p.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Place SE, with visitation one hour prior to rosary.
