Ernest D. Apodaca (69) passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 after a long battle with his illness. He was a long time Little League, YAFL and USATFA coach. Known as the Ya-Ya Man, he retired from Sandia Laboratories, lifetime member of the IAM. Ernest is survived by his wife Emily of 49 years; four children, Don ife Ruth, Ron, Dianne Medici husband Enso, and Renee. Their grandchildren Evonae, Angelica, Dominic, Ronnie, Anthony, Nicole, Adrian, Margarita, Jacqueline and Jenna; and two great-grandchildren; brother Tomas Apodaca, wife Feliza; brother, Bill Baca, wife Judy; brother-in-law's, Mike Baca wife MaryAnn, Steven Baca wife Lulu; sister-in-law's, Debbie Martinez husband Johnny, Kathy Acosta; many nieces and nephews; and Shit-zu, Hannah. Ernest was a son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, coach, mentor, friend, and a great influence to all. He taught to always "BETTER YOUR BEST".
