Russell T. 8-14-1957 to 5-14-2010 Avid cook, gardener and fisherman went home to his Lord after a long battle with liver failure, surrounded by his family, friends, Vista Care and St. John Angels. He is survived by his wife Cathy; daughter Heather Blackhurst (the love of his life); and her son Ryan Blackhurst who he was so very happy to chauffeur on baseball days. Thank you Ryan. His unconditionally loving parents Catherine and Arthur; sisters Helen and Mary; brothers Steven and Art; step-sons Mike and Shane Brohard; step grandsons Michael and Trevor; and many other family members and friends. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE, Alb, NM 87108. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to the Friends of Rio Grande Nature Center.
