Obituary for MEDINA

Ruth A. Medina, 84, died May 7, 2010. Born in Monte Vista, CO on August 17, 1925, she was a graduate of Adams State Teachers College. She taught elementary school in Dulce, NM and in the APS school system. Ruth raised children, her own, and others with legendary zeal and warmth. She was a great cook, generous to family and friends, and left a lasting impression on those she met and whose lives she touched. She is survived by her three children, Cassandra Medina, Patrick Medina and Veronica Medina; her brother, Alfred Archuleta; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Thaddeus Medina; her parents, Alfred and Rose Archuleta; and her husband, Alfonso E. Medina. She was a fountain of love and kindness and will live in our hearts forever. Services for Mrs. Medina will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. and the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the family home.
