Margaret "Maggie" Perez, 83, a lifelong resident of New Mexico went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 30, 2010. She is survived by her children, Eugenio Perez III of Puerto de Luna, NM and Lucarol "Putt" Edwards of El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Eugenio Perez IV and wife, Marcelina Gallegos de Perez of Albuquerque, Mario Alexander Perez and fiance, Lucy M. Brizal of Las Vegas, NM, Marjaina Edwards of Arlington, TX, Johannah Edwards of Denton, TX and Gabriel Angel Perez of El Paso, TX; great-grandchildren, Eugenio Perez V and Alvaro Perez, both of Albuquerque; brother, Jon A Sanders and wife, Linda of El Paso, TX; sister, Carol Straughan of El Paso, TX and Homie, her cat. Mrs. Perez was preceded in death by her husband, Eugenio Perez, Jr. Maggie was a longtime resident of Vaughn, NM. She was active in Beta Sigma Phi, Eastern Star, 99ers Women's Pilots Association and Wool Growers of New Mexico. A service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010, 10:30 a.m., at French - University Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
