Obituary for GONZALES

George W. Gonzales, 91, died on April 27, 2010 suddenly. He is survived by his son, Andrew Gonzales and wife, Joyce of Colorado Springs, CO; his daughter, Barbara Otero and husband, Richard; six grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Eloyd Gonzales and wife, Gert, Frank Gonzales and wife, Alma; and many other family and friends. Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by his parents, Anacleto and Juanita Gonzales; his wife, Lucy; his brother, Andrew and sister, Marie. George was born in Madrid, NM, worked in the coal mines before being drafted into the US Army. He served in the US Army during WW II and then following in the Army National Guard. Mr. Gonzales loved dancing and enjoyed the Horses at the Downs. A Rosary will be recited Monday, 9:30 am, May 3, 2010. Mass will be celebrated following the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont NE. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
