Obituary for COFFMAN

William R. Coffman, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, off and on since 1975, died April 16, 2010. He is survived by his children Julia Degenhart and husband Dutch of Los Lunas, NM, Bonnie Cline and husband Bill of Colorado Springs, Co. and David Coffman of Grand Junction, Co, grandchildren, Diandra Smith and husband Rod, Rosemary Sena and husband Gabe and their children, Rhiannon, Zeke and Xavier all of Los Lunas, NM. Mr. Coffman was preceded in death by his former wives, Ruth, who he married in 1946 and Donna who he married in 1990. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, as a boy he worked summers on his uncle's Ohio farm. Went on to work as a machinist and served in the United States Navy, during WWII in both the Atlantic and pacific campaigns aboard an Destroyer Escort. After the war, he became a missile and aircraft production expert, and was employed by the US Air force to negotiate contracts for the F11, F14, F15 and C5A, among other top secret projects. Mr. Coffman was extremely well like by everyone who crossed his path and he will be missed. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at French ~ Wyoming Chapel, at 1:00 pm. Ennichement will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
