Simon Allen Matthew Garcia, 26, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010. He is survived by his fiancee Sandra Gibson; children, Maya, Sebastian and Mackenzie; parents, Sam and Julia Garcia; sisters, Stephanie Brito, Suzette Garcia and Salina Corrales and husband Manny; brother, Samuel "Spike" Garcia; nieces and nephews, Sharmain, Abraham and Isabella Brito, Justine Garcia, Victoria, Gabriela, Aryanna and Joaquin Corrales; grandparents, Maria "Nana" Funes, Isaias and Tomasita Garcia; and his Godparents, Raymond and Michelle Gallegos; and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by Jose "Tata" Funes, Theresa Garcia and Annette Molina. Simon was an avid Cowboy and Yankee fan, enjoyed country music, dancing and rodeo, especially bull riding, loved his family and will be dearly missed by family and friends. His smile and dimple will be dearly missed. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., April 21, 2010 at French Mortuary, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00 a.m., April 22, 2010 at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 N Plaza St NW with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Pall bearers will be Chris Brito "Cowboy", Abraham Brito, Manny Corrales, Vincent Garcia, Ralph Gallegos and Fred Brito; Honorary pall bearers will be, Joaquin Corrales, Dylan Newman and John Gibbs. Friends may visit Wednesday, April 21, 2010, 5:00 -7:00 p.m. before the Rosary.
