Obituary for HOBBS

Theodore E "Ted" Hobbs, 75, died April 11, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy; daughter, Tracy Hobbs Diaz and her husband, Dimas; his sister, Cleo Bluth; and several other family members and friends. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Ola. Mr. Hobbs was a graduate of Pomona College and then served his country in the US Army. He worked for IBM for 36 years. After retiring from IBM, he served in the NM State Legislature from 1994-2006 and was the minority leader of the House. Ted was a member of the Rotary Club, served as Interim Executive Director for the United Way of Albuquerque for one year and Interim Executive Director of the New Mexico Symphony also for one year and had served on the Board of the UNM Anderson School of Business. He will be dearly missed. Services will be held Thursday, April 15, 2010, 10:00 am, at French, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, with private burial to follow.
