Elizabeth Marie Johnson, age 88, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Friday, March 19, 2010. She was born on May 1, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY and was a resident of Albuquerque. During the 1942 depression Elizabeth would save her money to send cigarettes to the troops during World War II. She was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col. US Army Air Corps/US Air Force Warren L. Johnson. Elizabeth is survived by her loving children, Sharron "Sharry" R. Shipe of Albuquerque, NM and Steven G. Johnson of Missouri; four grandchildren, Malerie Meyers, Theresa Shipe, Lesley Ratliff and Krystal Friend Johnson; and seven great-grandchildren. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all. Committal Service was conducted Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so at www.danielsfuneral.com.
