Obituary for HORCASITAS

Maxine Horcasitas, 91, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully on March 11, 2010 at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice Care. Maxine was born to Henry and Nellie Myers. She was raised with brothers Doyle, Kenneth, and Keith; sisters Louise, Geneva, and Judy in Beloit, Kansas. Mimi, as she was known by her loved ones, was married to Earl Giles and Pete Horcasitas. Mimi was an independent woman who worked until late in life. She was employed for many years by the IUOE 953, IBEW 611, and North Hills Mobile Home Park. Mimi was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters Louise and Geneva and husbands Earl and Pete. She is survived by her sister Judy Whitt of Waldorf, MD, brother-in-law Donald Wareham, and by many nieces and nephews. Mimi will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to especially thank Mimi's caregiver Maria Tapia and close friend Don Coats.
