Magdalena Louis Frietze, daughter of Marie Rose Chugg Frietze and Seth Eric Frietze, was born March 15, 2010. Magdalena passed away peacefully in our arms on March 17, 2010 at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. She had a rare congenital heart defect called Ebstein's Anomaly. Magdalena had a wise and feisty spirit and gave us strength. We love and miss her dearly but are so thankful that we had an opportunity to meet her. Magdalena is survived by her grandmother, Joanne Dion, of Vergennes, Vermont; her grandfather, Steven Chugg, of St. Albans, Vermont; and her grandmother Holly Fife-Glidden of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Magdalena was predeceased by her grandfather Harley Louis Frietze of El Paso, Texas. We encourage those who would like to help to make a donation to the Children's Heart Foundation (www.childrensheartfoundation.org). We are extremely grateful to the medical staff for they showed love, tenderness and support throughout our pregnancy. We are also grateful to the staff at both French's Mortuary and Sunset Memorial Park of Albuquerque for their time, compassion and professional manner. In the presence of family members and friends a funeral service was held for Magdalena Louis on Saturday March 27, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Sunset Memorial Park in the Garden of Angels.
