James F. Murphy, Jr., 73, passed away March 22, 2010. James was born December 29, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to James F. and Melissa M. Murphy. He proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was predeceased by his parents James and Melissa Murphy. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan M. Murphy; his children: Ron Murphy and wife Minerva, Michael McElleney and wife Eileen, Joy Walsh and husband Ed, Jimmy Murphy and wife Lisa, Joan Burr and husband Dewey, Robert Murphy, John Murphy, and Tara Murphy; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Geraldine McNamarra; and his brother, Timmy Murphy and wife Linda. There will be an interment Friday, April 2, 2010 at 11:30 a.m., Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM. There will also be a Memorial Service Friday, April 2, 2010 at 1:30 p.m., Rio Rancho High School, Performance Arts Center, 301 Loma Colorado, Rio Rancho, NM.
