Mildred " Millie" Louise Bild, 83, Albuquerque resident since 1951, passed away on March 24, 2010 after a short illness. She is survived by her sons, Richard and wife, Karen Robinson, Gary and wife, Pamela, Charles and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, David, Steven, Stuart, Evan and wife, Samantha, Kristin and husband, Kenneth; sister, Helen Piehler; and brother, Dennis Hansford. Millie was preceded in death in 1990 by her husband of 46 years, Charles F. Bild; and by her brother, Glen Hansford. She was born on September 21, 1926 in Steyer, MD to Wayman and Ruby Hansford. Millie married Charles in 1944 in Reno, NV. After her youngest son started school, Millie started taking classes at UNM. She completed both a Bachelors and a Masters degree. She taught elementary school special education at several Albuquerque public schools for 21 years, retiring in 1987. Millie's pastimes included gardening, bridge, quilting, and reading. A private family entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
