Joel Leyva, 52, went with the lord on March 22, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Manuel Chavez; and sister Rachel Leyva-Davis. Joel is survived by his wife of 28 years Betty Lujan; parents: Jose and Minnie Leyva; sons: Joel Leyva, Mathew Leyva, and Marcus Leyva; brothers: Amos Leyva and wife Lisa, and Ruben Leyva and wife Debra; grandchild: Adrianne Leyva; mother-in-law Aggie Lujan, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Joel is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, who also enjoyed camping, building things with his hands, and was an avid San Diego Charger fan. His well known phrase "Make That Move". Life Celebration Service will be Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Casa Del Rey Church. Pallbearers will be Joseph Leyva, Jarred Leyva, Jesus Prairie, Estevan Maestas, Aaron Roybal, and Joe Vera.
