Mary Premia Salcido was surrounded by her loved ones and was reunited with her husband, Simon on March 20, 2010. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and friends. Mary always thought of others before herself. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Candelaria. Mrs. Salcido is survived by her children, Shirley and husband, Tim Ortiz, Sharon Salcido, and Mark Salcido; grandchildren, Timothy Ortiz Jr., Ryan Archuleta, Mason Salcido and Dylan Salcido; brothers and sisters, Jennie Dawa of Phoenix, AZ, Pablo and Martina Candelaria, and Louisa Candelaria, all of Grants; as well as many extended family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at San Felipe de Neri Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Committal Services will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Services will also honor her husband, Simon Salcido.
