Maria Teresa Chavez King, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 11, 2010, her loving family was at her side. Mrs. King is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Lawrence King; her son, Michael Sanchez and wife, Kathleen E.; her daughter, Kathleen A. Sanchez and Joe Lucero; her grandchildren, Shirley Baca and husband, Abel Sr., Eileen Maestas and husband, Rob, Paul Sanchez and wife, Valerie; great-grandchildren, Shantelle Baca, Abel (AJ) Baca Jr. and Andrea Padilla, Elena Sanchez, Izabel Sanchez, and Pablo Sanchez; great-great-grandson, Abel Baca III; her brother, Rosendo Chavez and wife, Lupe; her sister, Edwina Chavez, and Joe Block. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Vincentita Chavez. Teresa gave of her self freely to her family and friends. She enjoyed singing, fishing, traveling and gardening. Teresa was a faithful prayer warrior, attending prayer meetings and attending St. Anne Catholic Church. Teresa will be forever remembered as a loving person and wil be greatly missed by her family and friends, but knowing that we will one day meet again in eternal glory. Visitation will be Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Father Nick Nichols, presider. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Sanchez, Abel Baca Jr., Abel Baca Sr., Rob Maestas, Joe Lucero, and Joe Block. Honorary pallbearers will be Shantelle Baca, Elena Sanchez, Izabel Sanchez, Pablo Sanchez, Abel Baca III, and Andrea Padilla.
