Obituary for MOORE

Jacqueline (Jackie) Moore, long time resident of Albuquerque, died Feb. 21, 2010, after a lengthy illness. She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Mullane, of Albuq., NM, and Mary Moore of West Linn, OR, as well as three grandchildren, and six great -grandchildren. Ms. Moore was born July 29, 1923, in Stephens, Arkansas, to Marcella and Howell Brooks. She married John E. Moore in 1944 in Sherman, Texas. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1956. Ms. Moore received a Bachelor's Degree from Austin College and a Master's Degree from UNM. Jackie was a teacher, vice-principal, principal, and Director of Elementary Instruction with the Albuquerque Public Schools. She retired in 1988 after 29 years. A memorial will be held on March 12, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the French Mortuary Chapel on Lomas followed by her burial at 1:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM, where she will be placed next to her husband who preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in her name. The family would like to thank the staffs of the Woodmark and Presbyterian Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our mother during the last year of her life.
