James H.(Jim) Payne, 71, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1992 passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Jim was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and a dedicated member of the Board of Directors of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA). During that time he was known for his tireless commitment to the Z-Act Computer Assisted Program at the SCI Center, Veterans Hospital. Jim is survived by his wife and loving partner of 44 years, Beverly; his two sons, John of California and Michael of Rio Rancho. Jim also was the loving Grandfather of his two grandsons Daniel and Josh. A Memorial Service will be held at Daniels Family funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd. S.E. Rio Rancho, NM Thursday March 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 833 Gibson Blvd. S.E., Albuquerque, NM 87102 In memory of Jim or the charity of your choice.
