Abraham L. Ramirez, 61, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 surrounded by his loving family, after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Abraham was preceded in death by his parents, Quirino and Stella Ramirez; and baby brother Anthony. He is survived by his brothers, Albert Ramirez and wife, Irene, Arthur Ramirez and wife, Christine, Abel Ramirez and wife, Olivia, and Alex Ramirez; sisters, Alice Ramirez and Arlene Ramirez; 12 nieces and nephews; 23 great-nieces and nephews. Abraham retired from APS after 25 years of faithful service; he loved his Dallas Cowboys no matter what. Abraham was a quiet, generous, and compassionate man to his family and to all he met and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 AM on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at St. Anne Catholic Church with interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Park.
