Lisa K. Chavez-Espinoza, age 51, has gone to be with our Lord. She was a loving wife of 21 years to Ignacio L. Espinoza. Lisa passed away on February 12, 2010 at her home in Rio Rancho, NM, as she was surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Ignacio L. "Nash"; parents, Abel and Alyce Chavez; sister-in-law, Mary Caron and husband Sam; sister, Jessica Lynn Chavez; brother, Abel Alan Chavez and wife Michele; stepdaughters, Renee A. Jordan and Michelle L. Blair; son-in-law Michael Weisend and wife Stephanie; and grandchildren, Shane, Jordan, Sydney and Brandon. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews as well as many friends. Lisa was a graduate of Rio Grande High School in Albuquerque, NM in 1976. After High School, she attended UNM and attained her Bachelors degree. Lisa loved working with children and young adults. She dedicated many years of her life to this work. Interment will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at a later date. A service for Lisa will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 18, 2010 at: El Buen Samaritano United Methodist Church 700 Granite NW in Albuquerque, NM (505) 242-5775.
