Robert Eugene Paul died on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in Rio Rancho. He was born on December 16, 1924 in Lyndon, Kansas and was baptized as a baby and confirmed on October 12, 1947, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He served in WWII and received the Purple Heart. Bob was honorably discharged on December 7, 1945. On September 1, 1947, Bob married Erna Meyer. They were blessed with two children, Ronald and Karen. For many years, Bob worked as a supervisor in the accounting department at the United States Post Office. He was a faithful charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and served as Financial Secretary as well as serving on the Foundation Board. Bob enjoyed traveling and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two brothers. He leaves behind his wife Erna; children, Ronald Paul and his wife Scharlene of Winterhaven, FL, and Karen Pitts of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jeffrey Paul and wife Michelle of Tulsa, OK, and Benjamin Pitts of Albuquerque; step-grandchildren Dawn Adair of Albuquerque, and Kim Griffen and husband David of Rio Rancho; great-granddaughter Emily Marie Paul of Tulsa, OK; Glen and Alison Clark; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 10:15 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 Alvarado Dr SE.
