Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Saturday February 13, 2010

Doloris Jean Hines, 87 years young, passed away on February 10, 2010 at her home surrounded by family. Our dear sweet mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who follows: husband Stuart; son Gary; and daughter Marlo into Heaven. She is survived by daughters: Kimber, Dana and Lori; sons-in-law Jorge Diaz de Bedoya, and Ernesto J. Romero; grandchildren: Christian and wife, Chloe, Gabriel, Jean-Paul and fiancee, Kasey, Eliott, Julian, Pamela Jean Rodrigo, Stephanie and Johanna; great-grandchildren: Alain, Alexia, Robin and Sofia. Jean born to Alan Eric and Gladys Madeline MacBride in Des Moines, Iowa, had a happy childhood with her beloved grandmother Laura and family. She worked in Denver as executive secretary for Mountain Bell, shortly after married Stuart. Our beloved Mother showed us that the most important rules to live by were: Jesus, family, caring and giving. She lived by these rules and is deeply loved by countless people on Earth and in Heaven. She has touched so many through her ever abundant love and caring. Jean was the sweetest, most compassionate person we have ever known. She taught us all to show the same compassion that she had shown all of her life. She was the most patient and thoughtful parent anyone could ask for. She raised a wonderful family and was the embodiment of the idea of a mother. She took care of everyone, her family and others. She would always say, "I have a line up there," and it was proven by the many blessings bestowed upon those she knew. We love you our dear, sainted Mother, and Grandmother. We will dearly miss you but we know that WE now "have a direct line up there." She lived by the words in John 11, Matthew 22, Psalm 23 and her favorite was Matthew 6:9-13. Mother, we dedicate to you Matthew 11: 25 -30 and John 14: 1-6. Services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel; burial to follow. Flowers may be sent to the Chapel. Please visit our online guestbook for Doloris at RememberTheirStory.com French 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE (505) 275-3500
