Jacobo J. Chavez, 88, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Mr. Chavez is survived by his five children, Agnes Chavez, Raymond Chavez and wife, Debbie, Roy Chavez and wife, Bonnie, Julian Chavez, Orlando Chavez and wife, Julie; his daughter-in-law, Connie Chavez; two stepdaughters, Stella Saavedra and husband, Danny, Amelia Briones and husband, Gilbert; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, and friends; his four babies, (dogs)Scrappy, Pebbles, Dadita, and Scubby. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Julianita Chavez; his wives, Virginia and Agueda Chavez, his son, Johnny Chavez; his sister, Virginia Rey; his brother, Raymond Chavez; his half-sister, Tia Maria; his half-brother, Juan. Mr. Chavez was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during W.W.II. Visitation will be Thursday, February 11, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at South Valley Apostolic Church, 1242 Artisco SW, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Rene Gaxiola, presider. Final Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a. m. at the Church with a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rene Gaxiola, presider. Pallbearers will be Jacob Chavez, Anthony Chavez, Johnny Chavez, Eric Saavedra, Estevan Chavez and Abenicio Chavez. Honorary Pallbearer will be Chris Sedillo.
