Obituary for STURTZ

Thomas Wynne Sturtz, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Saturday, January 30, 2010, and was laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery on February 3, 2010. He is survived by Donna Gail Sturtz, his wife of 56 years. He is further survived by his son, David Wynne Sturtz of Reno, Nevada and his wife Cindy; daughter, Dannee Gail Ashton of Albuquerque; daughter Marty Adele Buckingham of Los Lunas and son, Stephen Thomas Sturtz of Albuquerque. He is also survived by two sisters, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Sturtz was born June 21, 1931 in Dayton , Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; a sister; and a brother; and his beloved son-in-law, David Buckingham. Tom Sturtz was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served four years during the Korean War. He was an electrician by trade, joining the IBEW 611 in 1955. He will be remembered for his love of family, his love of fishing and his wonderful sense of humor.
