Alberto Montoya, 89, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 2, 2010. He was born on February 9, 1920 to Patricio and Josefa of Cuba, NM. Alberto was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth whom he was married to for 63 years; his parents; sister, Maria (Susie) Gurule; and brothers, Celso, Maclovio, Patricio, Jr., Manuel, and Antonio. He is survived by brother, Anselmo (Margaret); sister, Katie; sister-in-law, Marguerite; and numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited Friday, February 5, 2010, 7:00 p.m., at French - University Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 6, 2010, 11:30 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
