Jim, 82, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2010. Jim was born in Hearne, TX and served during WWII with the Navy. After graduating from UT Austin, he relocated to Albuquerque to work at Sandia National Lab. He retired in 1992 after 38 years of service at Sandia where he was honored with the Distinguished Service Award. After accepting Christ as his Lord at a young age, Jim faithfully served his Lord in various positions during his lifetime. Jim enjoyed music of all types, enjoyed yard work, his pets and loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lou; his daughters Susan Holloway and husband Russell of Amarillo, TX and Linda Krueger of Albuquerque; grandchildren Keith and Jessica Krueger of Albuquerque; step-children Vicki and husband Larry McGowan of Albuquerque and their children Tami, Michael and Amy, and their grandchildren Connor and Maggie; and Al Torrence of Chicago and his children Nina and Nathan Torrence. He is also survived by his brother Walter Collier of San Antonio, TX. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 26, 2010, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at French Lomas, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE. Memorial Service will be Wednesday, January 27, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at City Church of Albuquerque, 3320 San Pedro, NE. Private Entombment.
