Loraine Morrison, 81, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010. She was born April 19, 1928 in Concho, Arizona, a daughter of Rosalio and Josefina Mirabal Candelaria. She married Kenneth Morrison in the late 1960's. He passed away in 1988. Ms. Morrison graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Albuquerque. She was an elementary school teacher in Albuquerque and Kansas City, MO. Survivors include her son, Richard J. Morrison, Sr. and his wife Nicole Thomas of Albuquerque; and two grandsons, Richard J. Morrison, Jr. and Kenneth Morrison. She was preceded in death by three sisters; and one brother. The Holy Rosary will be recited Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at French Mortuary - Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. at 6:00 p.m. where friends may visit from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.. A prayer service will be conducted Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the mortuary Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE.
