Obituary for HINSON

John William Hinson, Jr., 88, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, January 6, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy; daughter, Carmen Lane; son, John W. Hinson, III and wife, Cynthia; grandchildren, Ted Lane, Richard Lane and wife, Dawn, John W. Hinson IV, Rebecca Berlin and husband, Tad, David Hinson and wife, Stephanie, and Sadira Hinson; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and his beloved dog, Kaya. John was born in Tulsa, OK to John W. Hinson, Sr. and Jessie Brazel Hinson. After serving in the US Army-Air Force during WWII, John moved to Albuquerque to work with Sandia National Labs and later TRW, until his retirement. Friends may visit Sunday, January 10, 2010 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. Services for John will be held Monday, January 11, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE., with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the American Heart Association, the Multiple Sclerosis Association or a charity of your choice.
