Mary G. Armijo was born on October 28, 1931, and passed away at her home on January 5, 2010, at the age of 79. Mary was from Albuquerque and resided in Corrales after her marriage in 1949. Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jose L. Armijo; daughter, Elizabeth Armijo and her partner Bill Auffant; and son, Paul Armijo; sisters, Gloria Garcia and her husband Freddie, Laura Johns, Sylvia Bauer, Patricia Gonzales, and Eva J. Simmons; brother, Don Gonzales and his wife Juanita; Mary's grandchildren she raised, Sarah and Steven; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her sons, Eugene and Leonard Armijo; mother, Flora Gonzales; and brother, Tony Gonzales. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at San Ysidro Church in Corrales. Mass will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2010 also at San Ysidro Church. Reception will follow the Mass at the Center behind the Church. Funeral services will be held at the Veteran's National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 2:30 p.m.
