David Marc Sheehan, 75, of Santa Rosa, NM and Haymarket, Virginia, died Jan 4, 2010 at his home in Santa Rosa. He was born Jan. 9, 1934 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Eugene C. and Alice Sheehan. A graduate of Holy Cross College he joined the Air Force in 1955. As an officer in the 50th and 522nd Tactical Fighter Wings, he was stationed at Cannon Air Force Base, NM and in Germany. David married Captain Mida Page of Santa Rosa, New Mexico in 1961 and left the Air Force to pursue a career in business. He worked for Mobil Oil Corp. for 31 years, ultimately attaining the position of General Manager of Corporate Aviation, before retiring in 1996. He was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa and Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna, NM. David was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Restoration Committee and a member of the Knights of Columbus where he currently served as Grand Knight. He is survived by his wife, Mida Sheehan of Haymarket, VA; three daughters, Mariquita and husband Patrick Goggin of Eagle River, Wisconsin; Heidi and husband Bill Ruscher, Deidre and husband Robin Kelly of Ringoes, New Jersey; a son Sean and his wife Heather Sheehan of Wilmington, North Carolina; five grandchildren: Bryce, Addison, Caroline, and Owen Sheehan, and Angus Ruscher. Also surviving is a sister Nancy McAdams of Cape Cod, Mass. along with several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 with Father Joseph Thomas CMI officiating. Burial with military honors provided by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard will follow at Nuestra Senora de Refugio Cemetery in Puerto De Luna, NM.
