Obituary for KOTHE

Margery Bernice Kent Kothe, 90, passed away December 30, 2010. She was born June 29, 1919 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Albert E. Kent and Rose Emily Kirk Kent. She met and married Lynn Lewis Kothe, her husband of 50 years, while they were both serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. She attended Colorado College and was instrumental in developing a training program for dental assistants at El Paso Community College. She spent a year as president of the Dental Assistant's Society of Colorado Springs. Marge moved to Albuquerque in June of 2004, where she was welcomed by the "Golden Girls" of the First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque. She was active in the church and loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband; and sisters, and is survived by three daughters; and a son, Marilynn Kothe Wheeler of Canon City, CO, Dorothy (Dottie) Kothe Jellison, of Albuquerque, Geraldine (Geri) Kothe of Woodland, CA; and William (Bill) E. Kothe of Florissant, CO; as well as seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque, in Taylor Ranch.
