Obituary for CHAVEZ

Levi A. Chavez, age 14, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Levi was born on July 9, 1995 in Albuquerque, NM. Levi was a very loyal friend who enjoyed going to the movies and playing games with his friends. Levi attended Comanche Elementary School, Cleveland Middle School, and was currently a freshman at Sandia High School. His teachers loved him very much and he was selected to be a student aide at Cleveland Middles School and a nurse's aide at Sandia High School. His family is very proud of him being a straight "A" student and an Honors student in Math. He played YAFL football and ran track in elementary and middle school. He loved running and wanted to be on the track and baseball teams at Sandia High. Levi was musically talented and was able to play the bass clarinet and saxophone. He was a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Levi was an expert on electronics, especially, cell phones and video games. Above all, Levi was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend. He was a very generous person who thought of others before himself. He loved to laugh and make other people laugh as well. Levi is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Lola Chavez; aunt, Jeanne Griego; uncles, Anthony Chavez and Wuilfredy Archila. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Dalia and Donald Sabaugh; father and step-mother, Alfred A. and Leah Chavez; siblings, Christy Galindo, Miguel Galindo, Raquel Chavez; step-siblings, Theresa and Donny Sabaugh, Nicole and Nevan LaBo; grandparents, Dora and Francisco Archila and Maggie and Alfonso Chavez; aunts and uncles, Francisco and Delia Archila, Lorena Archila, Kira Archila, Hercy and Paco Hidalgo, and Tony Archila, Pat and Doug Fleming, Dina and John Mann, Arnie Chavez, Gene and Sherry Chapman, and Shelley Sabaugh; many cousins and friends.
