Lita O. Cardenas went home to be with her Lord surrounded by her family of the eve of her Savior's birth, December 24, 2009. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ramona Ortiz; father, Macaro Ortiz; sister, Rita Ortiz; and brothers, Viviano and Chisty Ortiz. Mrs. Cardenas is survived by her daughters, Josie and husband, Felipe Gonzales, Irene and husband, Robert Jaramillo, and Louisa Zamora and Chris Rose; grandson, Kenneth Zamora; sisters, Helen Ortiz, Cecilia and husband, Juan Gonzales, Carlota and husband, Augustin Calleros, Patsy Ortez and Vincent Santillanes, and Jesusita Cisneros; brothers, Florentino and wife, Maida Ortiz, and Freddie and wife, Thelma Ortiz; and lots and lots of nephews and nieces. A Rosary for Mrs. Cardenas will be recited on Wednesday evening, December 30, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Freddie Ortiz, Florentino Ortiz, Juan Gonzales, Robert Jaramillo, Felipe Gonzales and Bennie Lucero.
