Obituary for WILLIAMS

Linnette Williams of Los Chavez passed away on December 23, 2009 from complications of cancer. She was a native of New Mexico and a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Linnette was born July 16, 1937, the third of four children of Ivor Williams and Catherine Fish Williams both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Stanley Ivor and Errin Ace and the love of her life Dr. Jack G. Hill. She graduated from Albuquerque High in 1955 and UNM in 1968. She retired from Federal Service in September of 2004 after more than 40 years. She is survived by her daughter Verna Linn Ward; granddaughter Sarah Rhoana Jones; grandson Jeremy Claus, wife Jeannie and family, Judith M. Williams, Kymbra and Valerie Williams, Shelley Cranford and husband Major David Strickland (U.S. Army Ret.); great-aunt Rhoana Crowther, Crowther; cousins: Frank, Tom and Sandra , Jim and Judy, Bobby, Larry and Evelyn, Leland and Wendy, Clifford and Wanda , Clara and Phil Hardy, and their families, Patricia and Phillip Jones, Michelle and Brandon Martinez and family, Doug Jones, Cherryl Jones, Jeannie and Marcos Gonzales and family, Richard Thomas Thigpen and family, Amber Jones, Rebecca and Fred Mollerud, Justin and Jesse Gabaldon, Christina and Cody Newman and family, Tauni Newman and family and Drs. Maurice and Catherine Ada Johnson, Del Reanne Lucas and family and Rae Sudanne Johnson. Linnette is also survived by her 4-legged family: Horses Djinni and Jafar, dogs Onyx, Macy, Tuffy, Bubba, Zahara, DashJones and Swiffer; and cats Ewok, Salem and Tweeter all of whom will be lovingly taken care of by family members. Linnette also leaves behind 224 pairs of shoes! Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009 at French Mortuary, 1111 University NE, Albuquerque. Interment will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul NE, Albuquerque. Memorial Service will follow at the Belen Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 2199 Hwy 304 Belen, N.M.
