Leola F. Cumiford, 85, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009. She was born December 13, 1924 in Raton, NM to parents Ray and Ocie Mitchell. Leola is survived by daughter, Shelia Hornsby and husband, Darrel of Texarkana, TX; son, Orville Cumiford of Guymon, OK; sister, Sharon Tolbert and husband, Garry of Peralta, NM; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, JoAnn Mitchell of Albuquerque, NM; brothers-in-law, Harold Cumiford of Houston, TX and Fred Cumiford of Lubbock, TX; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Robert Cumiford. Leola was a member of Sandia Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, White Shrine of Jerusalem, and the Order of Amaranth. Services will be held Monday, December 28, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
