Barbara Jo Whitezell Smith, age 66, of Rio Rancho, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Barbara was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA to William Edward and Margaret Donna Lippzer. She was a loving and giving mother and a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara was a "die-hard" Steeler fan. She was proud to be a part of the singing group "The Holidays" in the Pittsburgh area. Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Albert Whitezell. She is survived by daughters, Kris Judiscak and husband Jeff, Kelley Smith and husband Rob; sons, Scott Whitezell, Kory Whitezell and wife Natalie; Keith Whitezell and wife Vittoria; brother, William Edward Lippzer, Jr. and wife Luanne; grandchildren, Zach, Courtney, Tyler, Jessie, Raquel, Ryan, Bella, Harlee, Klayton, Mason, Katrina, Jaquelyn. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 21, at 2:00 PM, at French Westside Chapel with family friend, Rev. Bob Farmer, with interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho.
