Obituary for MONTOYA

Horace Montoya, 86, a resident of Albuquerque went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2009. He was born to his parents, Geronimo and Cerilita Montoya on May 12, 1923 in Bernalillo, New Mexico. He served his country proudly in the US Army and was a WWII veteran. He retired from Sandia National Labs. He was a parishioner and served as an usher for over 50 years at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, and was also a Boy Scout leader for many years. He loved gardening and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Tillie E. Montoya; his children; Michael Montoya and his wife Christina and Debi Quezada and her husband Gary. He was the proud grandfather of three; Christopher Montoya and his fiance, Evangeline Pacheco; Richard Quezada and girlfriend Gina Gomez, and Gary Quezada II. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church 300 Mildred Avenue, NW.
