Carl M. Maxfield, 79, passed away Friday, December 4, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. Carl was born in Torrance County, NM, October 19, 1930. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nahoma; daughter, Rhonda; son, Mike (Kris); brother, Ted (Jan); sister, Cathy; six grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew. Being an avid patriot of the United States of America Carl served in the U.S. Navy always standing firm in what he believed. He served the State of New Mexico in the construction industry for 40+ years. Carl was involved in all aspects of construction safety and his friends and coworkers will remember him for his meticulous precision and pride in every task he undertook. Most of all Carl was a devoted husband for 36 years and beloved father and friend. His greatest success was in being loved by those he cherished. Following a memorial service and reception at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the 1st Baptist Church of Bosque Farms, Carl will be interred at the Garland Family Cemetery overlooking the Estancia Valley.
