Evelyn Jesus Maria Salazar, 30, died February, 2009. She is survived by her mother, Myra; her daughters, Meriah and Angel; her brothers Michael and Carlos; aunt Angie Chavez; and uncles Eufelio Chavez, Leo Chavez and wife Mary, Jerry Barela, Ernesto Salazar and wife Flora; great-uncle Jerry Salazar; great-aunt Mary Salazar and many other family and friends including her god mother Petrita Salazar. Miss Salazar was preceded in death by her grandmother Carmelita Salazar; great-grandfather Manuel Salazar; and great-grandmother Catalina Barela; uncles Guillermo and David Salazar. Evelyn enjoyed the outdoors and camping, was a good cook and taught Meriah how to roller skate. A Memorial Prayer Service will be Friday, December 4 , 2009, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, with a memorial mass and then burial following on Saturday, 11:00 a.m., December 5, 2009 in Truchas, NM.
