Obituary for FLYNN

Clark G. The Flynn family of Bosque Farms and Albuquerque are sad to announce the passing of Clark G. Flynn. He died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 while at the Heart Hospital of New Mexico. Clark succumbed to pneumonia after a lengthy hospitalization from post cardiac surgery in March of this year. Clark's death is preceded by his parents, AG and June Flynn and his father-in-law, Chris Padilla. Clark was born October 25, 1941 and was raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (KP) and their son, Shane. Clark and Kathy were married for more than 28 years. Clark also leaves his daughter, Karen Costa; and his son, Monty and Carol Flynn; as well as three grandchildren; Karen's 19 year old twins, Kendra and Jessica Peck, and Monty's 19 year old son, Luc Flynn. Clark also leaves his sister, Amey and Charles Walker, of Jacksonville; Mother- in- law Rita A. Padilla of Albuquerque; Aunt Pencie Jordan of Jacksonville, brother- in- law Chris and Karen Padilla of Placitas, sister- in -law Debbie and Dave Stokes of California; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Clark served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. His distinguished military calling included flying combat missions over Southeast Asia. He concluded his career as a professional military education leader. Clark is well known by his countless friends as a member of the Dale Carnegie Training Systems where he was a senior instructor and mentor to many throughout New Mexico. His experiences helped foster Clark's personal businesses of Flynn & Associates Leadership and Motivational Training programs, and later as a hotel management business partner and eventually independent owner and principal executive of the Western Skies Inn and Suites in Los Lunas. Clark was a member of several community service organizations and enjoyed his association with the Rotary Club and the many fellow motorcycle riders he traveled with during organized treks like Torches Across America and on personal ventures such as riding to Alaska. He was a Black Belt in TKD. Clark's family expresses their gratitude to his extended military family. So many of whom were with him in thought and prayer and those who offered help and inspiration at his side are all greatly appreciated. The family also coveys their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, technicians and support members of the medical profession who provided essential care, compassion and services during the past 18 months. Pall bearers are Bill Hall, Larry Lane, Mike Michel, Larry Mounger, Chris Padilla and Dan Wilkerson. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the charity of your choice.
