Judy (Nana) J. Bjorkman, 56, of Edgewood, NM was tragically taken from us on Wednesday, November 25th, 2009. Judy was born January 6th, 1953, in Monterey Park, CA. She was married to Tye C. Bjorkman on July 5, 1974. She is survived by her husband of 35 years; her daughter, Erin of Fort Worth, TX; son, Ian and fiancee Kimberley of Edgewood; grandchildren, Kaylla of Everett, WA and Daytona of Edgewood; mother-in-law, Nanny (Doris) Bjorkman of Edgewood; brothers and sisters, Herb Smith and wife Dee of Albuquerque, Ronnie Smith and wife Sherry of Riverton, KS, Tommy McKenzie of Albuquerque, Rachel Smith of Rio Rancho, Michael Tessman and wife Melinda of Grafton, ND, Jennifer Gomez and husband Ron of Albuquerque, Blaine Bjorkman and wife Cecelia of Edgewood, Shay Bjorkman and wife Rita of Madison, AL; too many aunts, great-aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews to list here, and especially Deamyn Uhrig. Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, surrogate grandmother, sister, daughter, and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, baking, macram, and was an avid Pogo Games player. A Remembrance service is scheduled for 7:00pm, Thursday, December 3rd, 2009 at First Spanish Fruit Avenue Baptist Church, 812 Fruit Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102 (located on the corner of 8th Street and Fruit Ave, just south of Lomas Blvd). A reception with light refreshments will immediately follow at the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Judys name to the American Cancer Society.
