Reverend Ruth Marie Fortier, born May 15, 1926 in Sapulpa, OK, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Herbert Williams and Violet Ruth Walton; children, Richard Leeth and Ronald Joseph Lancaster; husbands, William Emmett Lancaster and Gerald Allen Fortier; grandson, Jeffrey Thomas Frye; brothers, Herbert, Delmus, Buster, D.C., Owen, Orvis, Junior and Paul Williams. She is survived by her daughters, Violet Tuch and husband Larry of Hemet, CA, Deborah McLaughlin and partner Kathy, of Albuquerque, NM; and son, Wesley Lancaster and partner Sylvia Baretta of Benicia, CA; eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She has numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Humane Association, 615 Virginia SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
