Roy A. Lazzara, 71, a resident of Bernalillo, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009. Roy was born November 26, 1937 the son of Anthony and Stella Lazzara in Chicago, Illinois. He lived in Chicago for most of his life, living in New Mexico for only one year. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Stella Lazzara; one sister, Rose Sodaro; and one grandson, Daniel Kurfess. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lazzara of Bernalillo; daughters, Susan Kurfess and husband Richard of Mercer Island, WA, and Pamela Baumhart and husband Mark of Mt. Prospect, IL; grandson, Kevin Baumhart of Mt. Prospect, IL; brother, Joe Lazzara and wife Charlotte of Ocala, FL. A Gathering for family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service at 3:00 PM Friday, November 20, 2009 in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Chaplain Fabian Juarez officiating.
