Mary Adele Hoffie. Adele is now at the right hand of God, with her savior, Jesus Christ, after a long, hard fought, six year battle with lung cancer. She spent the last year with her son in Cypress, CA after spending 20 years in ABQ. She devoted her time to helping others through Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, The Daughters of the American Revolution, The PEO Sisterhood, The St. Vincent De Paul Society, and Delta Gamma Sorority. She had many friends and loved calling Albuquerque her home. Adele is survived by her two daughters, Michelle (Tom) Saffel of Brandon, MN, Melinda (Randy) Mueller of Fond du Lac, WI; and her son Chris (Marilynn) Hoffie of Cypress, CA; and five grandchildren, all of whom miss her already. There will be a memorial mass for Adele at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112 on Monday, November 23, 2009, at 9:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Adele's name, as well as any of the other organizations she served.
