Gregg Daniel Austen, 53, a resident of Albuquerque since 1985, died Monday, November 16, 2009 after an extended illness. Born October 24, 1956 in Jamaica, New York, he worked for the family business, Budget Insurance, in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his father, Alfred D. Austen, his brother, Doug Austen, his children, Steven Austen and Jill Miller, all of Albuquerque; his aunt Lois Cutts Sullivan, uncle Bob Sullivan and cousin Wayne Sullivan of Los Lunas; uncle Don Austen, Aunt Mary Ellen Austen and Aunt Lila McKenna; cousins Phillip, Daniel, Michael and Brian McKenna, of Florida; and Donald and Clifford Austen of New York. Gregg was preceded in death by his mother, Laurene Cutts Austen. A visitation will be held for Gregg on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at French-Lomas Location, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will be at a later date at St. John's Cemetery in Queens, New York.
