Paula McKinnon, 66, of Seattle and Cuernavaca, Mexico, died of pancreatic cancer on November 7, 2009. Born and raised in Albuquerque NM, she was a 1962 graduate of Valley High School and attended UNM. A resident of Seattle for over 40 years, in 2007 she relocated to Cuernavaca. A lifelong Democrat, she was champion of the underdog up until the very last beat of her bleeding heart. She was preceded in death by parents Angus and Lovey McKinnon; stepmother Sibby McKinnon; sisters Joan Allen and Molly Burnett; brother Dan McKinnon- all of Albuquerque. Survivors include daughter Alexis McKinnon Puma of Seattle; sister Lou Wellborn of Santa Fe; nieces and nephews Nancy Alzate, Miggy Burnett, Barbara McKinnon, Ian McKinnon, Linley Allen, Aura Maria Alzate; Tony and Cathy Puma of Seattle; Women's Group of Seattle; her familia in Cuernavaca, her Boston family, and legends of other family and friends in the US and Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of one's choice are appreciated.
