Santiago G. Garcia, age 75, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009. He was born on May 14, 1935 and was a life long resident of Albuquerque. Mr. Garcia was an Honorable Veteran who served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Pilar Garcia; two sisters, Dora Maldonado, Ida Perea; and a son Lawrence Garcia. Mr. Garcia is survived by two brothers, Edward Garcia and Arturo Garcia; two sisters, Carlota Lilly Garcia and Carmen Bachicha; his children, Lisa, Rebecca, Antoinette, and Gilbert Anthony Garcia; daughter-in-law, Becky Garcia; numerous grandchildren; special nieces Rose Rodriguez and husband Agustin, Jocelyn Padilla and Tenisha Rodriguez; and other numerous relatives and friends. Mr. Garcia will be greatly missed by all. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Rio Rancho Rehabilitation Nursing Home and Staff for their wonderful care. Visitations will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW, where Funeral Services will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, on Edith and Ranchitos. Casket Bearers will be Ray Rodarte, Walter Rodarte, Agustin Rodriguez, Peter Barreras, Serge Cordova and Jerry Bachicha. Honorary Bearer will be Tenisha Rodriguez.
