Obituary for ELLIOTT

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Friday November 13, 2009

Olivia M. Elliott--Beloved mother, grandmother, great, and great-great-grandmother, gently walked into the sunset Friday, November 6, 2009. Heart of our hearts, sunrise of our morning, beloved and cherished, forever and after. Matriarch most inspiring, steady hands graced with strength, to guide and soothe. Unselfish love, endearing and enduring, bright and beautiful, most captivating and complete. Precious, the laughter of your eyes, reflections of spirit, uplifting and enchanting. Hawaii's beautiful blossom, softly spinning a graceful dance in the days of your youth, your sweet song of melody carried on high, intriguing, entwining ever captivating our hearts. In marriage to Manson, adoration, devotion, the blessing of family, a bounty of wondrous gifts to behold. In sons, Manny, Marshall and Keith, your humble pride, your given reason, your unconditional love, as ever, time and circumstance shall crash sudden waves on the most steadfast of shores. You persevered beyond the loss of love, strong, self assured, self reliant, self sufficient and endured. Each voice of every small one, gathered there at your knee, filled your soul with overflowing, painting a soft canvas in bright and beautiful whispers of love. The teacher, the listener, the comforter, arms ever open, an embracing and gentle resting place. Rebuke as lesson, forgiveness as reward, honorable intent, gracious always for the true of heart. In Robert, you found a companion, a renewed love, a sharing of laughter and adventure. The joy of your travels, command of wind, carefree, untethered, new songs yet to sing. In you, his sons found respect honor and admiration, all encompassed within an unquestioned acceptance. We have been witness to courage unequaled, strength unrivaled, inspiration beyond measure in the midst of a storm. Solid determination offered not one moment to surrender, immovable resolve tread boldly upon fear. We are enriched immensely to know you, the continuance of your glorious spirit breathes life in and about us. Our voices echo to the still and silent sky, oh that you would hear, oh that such will carry you home. Adored of Manson, cherished of Robert, revered with love of Sons, Manny, Marshall, and Keith; stepsons Gary, Glenn, Brian, and Robert. Embraced of grandchildren Lori, Manny Jordan, Shannon, Heather, Jared, Jason, Jeremy, Lanell, Susie, Phillip, Patrick, Whitney, Shawn, Heather and Dylan. The immeasurable fortune of love gifted to the many great -grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family, friends, and acquaintances whom brought the greatest pleasure and uplifting to your heart. May all who have gathered about you raise their eyes to see, open their hearts to hear, embracing one another as they embrace the day, with love ever always, with forgiveness in bounty, that we would honor her memory each beautiful moment in time.
