Robert L. Thrap, 88, died peacefully in his sleep on November 5th, following a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Virginia Thrap; daughter Patricia Buehler; son Lloyd Thrap; Bella Candelaria and husband Sam; grandchildren Sean Buehler and wife Tammi; Jennifer Buehler; Lisa Pino; Gina Madrid and husband Joe; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Robert served in the US Army. He retired from Los Alamos National Laboratories. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at 1818 Coal Place SE. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice de la Luz who provided gentle and loving care to Robert during his last four months of life. Direct Burial Services is in charge of cremation.
